FAQ QUESTION 01

The free bag included with all Wizz Air tickets measures a maximum of 40 x 30 x 20 cm and weighs no more than 10 kg. It must fit under the seat in front of you. A compact backpack, handbag, or laptop bag is suitable if it meets these dimensions.

FAQ QUESTION 02

WIZZ Priority is a paid Wizz Air option. It allows you to take, in addition to the free small bag, a 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 10 kg cabin bag, to be stored in the overhead compartment. It also grants access to priority boarding.

FAQ QUESTION 03

Yes, with WIZZ Priority, as it remains under 55 x 40 x 23 cm. This standard size is also accepted by Ryanair, Vueling, and Volotea with the appropriate option. Without an option, only the small 40 x 30 x 20 cm bag is included.

FAQ QUESTION 04

Choose a backpack of about 20 liters with external dimensions that remain under 40 x 30 x 20 cm once filled. A flat back and compression straps help keep the thickness within limits. Check the dimensions on the product sheet before purchasing.

FAQ QUESTION 05

No, only one small bag is included in the ticket. A handbag and a laptop bag must therefore be combined into a single piece of luggage measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm. Pack the smaller one inside the other before going through the boarding gate.

Wizz Air cabin baggage

Wizz Air allows two types of carry-on baggage. The small bag, included in all tickets, measures a maximum of 40 x 30 x 20 cm, weighs 10 kg at most and must be placed under the seat in front of you. The 55 x 40 x 23 cm, 10 kg carry-on suitcase goes in the overhead bin, only with the WIZZ Priority option.

Which baggage should you choose for Wizz Air?

For the only free bag, a compact backpack or a soft bag remains the best option: it makes the most of the sizer's full volume. With WIZZ Priority, a 55 x 40 x 20 cm carry-on suitcase fits easily, thanks to the 23 cm depth allowance. Choose a lightweight one to stay under the 10 kg limit once packed.

Before you leave

Measure and weigh your packed baggage. Non-compliant baggage discovered at the boarding gate is charged much more than an option booked in advance. Information verified in October 2026: check the conditions of your booking.
